Self Care for Mamas this Christmas
“Taking care of yourself doesn't mean me first, it means me too.”
The festive season is upon us once again! With it comes the fun parties, family gatherings and other joyful festivities. It can be such an enjoyable time of year but also a little full on for mamas!
This post is for all the mamas out there to remind them to look after themselves whilst navigating the hustle and bustle that is Christmas time!
Here are 3 simple self care tips for taking time for you to rest, restore and rejuvenate so you can enjoy this merry time of year to it’s fullest.
1. Take a bath or a long shower
Once everyone is in bed create some time for some solitude and relaxation. A bath or shower with a delightfully scented aromatherapy based oil and a few deep breaths can make the world of difference!
2. Book a treatment
Put yourself first for an hour or so and book a facial, massage or get your hair done. It’s amazing how refreshed and revitalised you feel afterwards.
3. Just breathe
The benefits are endless! With so much going on in your normal lives and then with Christmas thrown into the mix things can get pretty hectic. Create a moment to give yourself some down time, focus on your breath the calm & peace will naturally follow. Check out the science here to see the benefits of downtime
Remember you are important! Do little things each day to take care of you, it doesn’t have to be all or nothing. Live your best life Mama and have a great Christmas!
